The Informational Act Program

A framework for measuring human actions and their contribution to social value.

Overview

The Informational Act Program develops analytical methods for describing, classifying, and measuring human actions. Within this framework, acts are understood as observable units of activity within social systems. The program aims to make visible forms of value that are often overlooked by traditional economic indicators, including social contribution, community well-being, and long-term sustainability.

The Informational Act Program was initiated by Fernando Flores Morador and Luis de Marcos Ortega as part of ongoing work inspired by the Cybernetics 3 framework, which emphasizes the role of language, action, and coordination in social systems. Building on this foundation, the program explores how human acts can be systematically described, classified, and analyzed within complex social environments.

As part of this effort, work is currently underway to develop a new measurement system capable of capturing and analyzing patterns of human action and their contribution to social value. This initiative aims to provide analytical tools for recognizing forms of contribution that often remain invisible in traditional economic metrics.
